Ashtanga yoga basics workshop

Ashtanga yoga is a traditional yoga practice consisting of a dynamic and regular sequence of yoga asanas (postures) with an emphasis on synchronization of movement and breathing.

As soon as we are already a little familiar with the sequence and the method, the practice becomes established and a real and pleasant silence becomes possible during it.

The practice includes the classic yoga poses that are also practiced in other methods.

The workshop is especially suitable for beginners and practitioners who wish to refine their personal practice.

During the workshop we will get a taste of the world of yoga philosophy - we will learn where the yoga tradition came from and what is behind it, we will get to know the poses, be precise, learn to work with accessories and adapt the personal practice of everyone according to their personal needs (work with injuries and pain, different flexibility, anatomical structure and more).

About the host:

Yael Ashkenazi, yoga teacher at Ikigai. Teaches a variety of methods: Ashtanga, Vinyasa and therapeutic yoga (a method that combines yoga therapy/rehabilitative yoga with Thai massage). Has 1,000 hours of certification.
